Hydrogen Removal
The presence of hydrogen in metals is accountable for three major problems: bacterial growth,
metal fatigue, and explosive conditions.
GEMLUX® processing is the most effective method for removing hydrogen from
stainless steel. Detailed testing has proven that only this process has such
thorough results. The hydrogen is not only removed at the surface, but throughout
the metal as well. This is of paramount significance in counteracting metal
fatigue and contamination. By removing hydrogen:
GEMLUX® Processing:
- Severely Restricts Bacterial Growth
- Reduces Metal Fatique
- Eliminates a Source of Potential Explosion
The SIMS Test (Second Ion Mass-Spectroscopy) results shown below indicate by color, the
hydrogen concentration levels of a treated sample as opposed to an untreated one. This purging
is accomplished simultaneously along with brightening, deburring and surface refinement.
