The Vented Fill Series MUST NOT be mounted in a position that would subject it to excessive water spray or flooding. The fuel system creates a vacuum during operation and could intake water if subjected to submerged conditions. The use of the spacer (part # 99890) is intended to minimize the possibility of flooding conditions by raising the body of the fill to 3/8" above the mounting surface. This spacer is in no way intended or represented to make this fill waterproof and WILL NOT prevent water from entering the fuel system. It is suggested that in flood conditions that purchaser consider using a standard deck fill with a separate vent.
